In August of 1985, we replaced the chassis of our 1967 International tanker with a used 1979 Mack R Model and increased it’s water supply capabilities. Tanker 5 was not equipped with a pump, but carried 4200 gallons of water – making it the biggest tanker in the County for many years. In 1998 a committee was formed to analyze the current units capabilities and spec out replacement suitable to the needs of the department.
This vehicle was sold to a local farmer.
