Application Process

  • Submit the New Member Interest Form on this website. A representative of the Membership Committee will contact you in order to provide you with a complete membership application packet and discuss your intentions.
  • Complete a background check investigation and physical exam.
  • The application and associated documents are turned in to the Company and an oral interview is arranged with the applicant.
  • Results of the oral interview, criminal background check, physical examination (if applicable), and references are reviewed with the Company during a business meeting and a vote is taken to accept or deny membership.
  • New member serves a minimum 6-month probation period.
A Membership Committee representative will communicate with you any further needs or Company requirements, as well as answer any questions you may have.

  • Station Orientation Program
  • NIMS 100, 200 & 700 (Online)
  • Firefighter I
  • Hazardous Materials Operations

Initial Training Requirements For EMS Members

  • Station Orientation Program
  • NIMS 100, 200 & 700 (Online)
  • Hazardous Materials Operations
  • MD/NR Emergency Medical Technician
  • Medical Provider Clearance Process
Active Fire, EMS & Life Members

All Fire, EMS, and Active Life members of this Company shall meet the following attendance requirements annually:

  • Earn a minimum of 50 points as determined by the LOSAP and Maryland Income Tax Program
  • Attend four Company level Drills
  • All members authorized to ride any apparatus are required to attend annual Bloodborne Pathogens training and maintain CPR/AED certification

All active Administrative members of this Company shall meet the following attendance requirements annually:

  • Earn a minimum of 25 points as determined by the LOSAP and Maryland Income Tax Program.
  • In order for an Administrative Member to earn a year of service towards Life Membership in this Company, they must annually earn 50 points as determined by the LOSAP and Maryland Income Tax Programs.

All active Administrative members of this Company shall meet the following attendance requirements annually:

  • Earn a minimum of 25 points as determined by the LOSAP and Maryland Income Tax Program.
  • In order for an Administrative Member to earn a year of service towards Life Membership in this Company, they must annually earn 50 points as determined by the LOSAP and Maryland Income Tax Programs.
