Engine 55 staffed with 5 volunteers traveled to Harford County Sunday morning to cover for the Joppa Magnolia Fire Company while they prepared for and attended funeral services for a fallen police officer. Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey was a lifetime member of the Joppa Magnolia Fire Company and was shot and killed in the line of duty along with Deputy First Class Mark Logsdon. On the way over, the Engine Company came upon a vehicle fire as well as an MVC involving a tour bus on I-95. The crew extinguished the vehicle fire and popped the passenger door on the bus for access. Engine 55 responded on several runs with the other companies standing-by at JMVFC's "Fort Hanson" station. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the fallen deputies.
